On Sunday, September 3, 2023, we welcomed more than 55 members of Maryland's Turkish-American community to MATA's Annual Fall Picnic in celebration of Labor Day, Victory Day and the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Türkiye.
Held at the Savage Park Pavilion, the picnic featured a doner sandwich menu from Rudy's Mediterranean Grill as well as coffee and sweets from the Turkish Coffee Lady. Activities included a raffle for different gift baskets to support MATA, a tavla (backgammon) competition, and a children's art contest.
